"It is so valuable having you here! We could have just wandered into this place [the British Museum] and out again, having missed all the big stuff." - Hilary (Cleveland, Ohio)

Biografía: I have a passion for London. There is so much to see and do. I enjoy meeting people from all over the world and being a guide combines the two so well.

Born in India and educated in the UK, I have travelled extensively and lived in India, East Africa, Canada and the USA. Before I joined the BBC, I cooked for lighthouse keepers, worked in a London bookshop, ran a bookshop in Canada, and worked in the theatre in Kenya. In the BBC I worked in Television, working on the early series of Doctor Who, Armchair Theatre and International Cabaret. I then moved to BBC World Service Radio as a Studio Manager and produced programmes and radio documentaries. I am married to David Tod Boyd, a professor of music at the Royal College of Music. We have adult children. I became a full-time guide in 1996 and have a extensive experience of guiding both in London and all over the country. I take walks in London and particularly enjoy guiding in British museum,Somerset house,Victoria & Albert Museum,Cathedrals and churches.I can now add Olympic Sites for London2012.The regeneration of this area in London is very thrilling. The great arenas for the Olumpic games are being completed and are on time. To see it now being built gives such a sense of antisipation for London 2012

Tours extensos: I would be delighted to tailor my tour to cover your particular interests whether it is architecture, rural history, social development or industry that you're interested in. It couldn't be easier. For example on an English Countryside Tour I'll organise car, coach, lunch, tea etc and take you to visit precisely what you'd like to see. A typical day might start with a visit to one of England's beautiful gardens, lunch at an old pub or coaching inn, a drive through the countryside past thatched cottages, trout streams and ancient forests, winding up with a visit to a stately home and afternoon tea amongst the roses. On my tours I also cover the architecture, social history and development of this country.
